How to use it
- Price fills in automatically with this week's average for the state you choose. If you have a quote from your supplier, type it in instead.
- Gallons: heating oil deliveries are often 100–200 gallons (a common indoor tank holds 275). Propane tanks are filled to about 80% of their size, so a 500-gallon tank takes up to about 400 gallons.
- Gallons per day: a typical home uses more in the coldest months. Check past delivery tickets to see your own usage.
